Today I finished my days work just 3 miles from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire so I headed for a cuppa and a walk at the boating lake to see what was about.
From a distance I could see lots of Swans, Feral Pigeons, Mallards, Barnacle Geese and Greylag Geese but to my surprise a lone Pink Footed Goose was in with the Greylags on the lake. Don't know how long it has been there but I certainly did not know about it!
Had a nice 30 minutes or so watching the bird at close quarters, sometimes about 4 feet away as it was being fed by others around the boating lake. Managed my best images so far of the species, see below.
More images of this bird can be seen here >> http://www.lincsbirders.org/2016/05/24/pink-footed-goose/
